So my favorite vocalsynth cover I have ever made was done on ACE Studio, which is... notoriously controversial for reasons I don't really feel comfortable talking about here (there's receipts aplenty online if you're curious and know where to poke your nose!), so in spite of my love for the program and the vocal I used in particular, I haven't touched the editor with a ten-foot pole from the moment I learned about the controversy.

That said, the editor's undergone major changes since last I used it (namely it's gone from free to $28/month), so I figured I'd at least download and fuck around with the latest trial, see if there's really all that much I'm missing out on. And while digging through my computer for a good test MIDI to use, I fOUND THE ORIGINAL PROJECT FILE FOR THAT COVER I WAS SO PROUD OF! AND ALL OF THE EDITS ARE STILL INTACT! IT'S BEEN TWO YEARS ON THE 6TH BUT IT'S STILL HERE AND I'M SO HAPPY

So I'll be spending the rest of the night plugging all of ACE's voices into the file and trying to convert it into other formats for other synths with as much of its data intact as possible and starting on a jinriki for Luan Ming because she deserves so much better than being stuck on ACE). Aaaaaah this is such a treat~
